Rescue workers are still fighting for the lives of the two seriously injured people. The house in which the shots were fired is located in the middle of Graz’s city center on Kaiserfeldgasse. The building houses therapists, notaries and a law firm.
According to a police spokesman, the shots were fired “in the area” of the law firm. However, as the APA has just reported, the lawyers’ offices are on the 3rd floor, and the incident may have happened on a different floor.
A woman who works in the office contacted the APA and said she had heard “three screeches” around midday. A colleague “reacted well” and immediately shouted “lock everything down”. She heard a woman screaming in the hallway and noticed someone running downstairs.
A police spokesman said the investigation is only just beginning. It is necessary to secure evidence and interview witnesses.
