COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Columbus Police Department (CPD) are at the scene of a north Columbus hotel, where shots were fired.
According to the sheriff, authorities are at the Baymont Hotel on Whitesville Road for a wanted person.
He says the suspect fired several shots at MCSO Special Operations Units, which the investigators returned.
Whitesville Road is currently blocked off.
Details are limited at this time regarding the wanted person’s identity or if any injuries were sustained in the incident.
