Shornur ∙ In the International Puppetry Fair being held in Korea, Kerala’s Thol Pavakoot and Ramachandra Pulavarum Group of Koonathara represented the country. Groups from Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, China, Australia and Italy presented their unique style of puppetry in the fair which started on the 8th of last year. Koonathara team also led leather doll making, introduction, seminar and workshop at the Korean school.

Ramayana story was presented in the fair. Ganapati Vandanam, panchavadi construction, deer hunting, Sita haranam, Jatayu Moksha, Rama Ravana battle, Sri Rama Pattabhishekam were presented. The Koonathara team came to the puppet festival in Korea at the invitation of a Korean woman who saw a puppet booth in Ambalaparam many years ago. Rajeev Pulavar, Laxman, Prasobh and Manoj were also in the group.
