Mercado Livre reinforces the fashion category on the platform and launches a project focused on the digitization of retailers in Brás
The largest e-commerce in Latin America, Mercado Livre is betting on entrepreneurs from Brás – one of the biggest centers of fashion trends in the country -, to consolidate itself as the main destination for fashion shopping in electronic commerce. In an ambitious project still in the pilot phase, the company will adopt a series of initiatives to attract new entrepreneurs among Brás shopkeepers who operate in the region and boost the business of sellers who are already on the platform.

As a result of this movement, in the comparison between the first quarter of 2022 and the same period of 2023, the number of sellers in this category grew by 21%, while sales increased by 27%.
