Any motivations or background to the shooting are unknown at this time. The police are assuming a planned isolated case. As a reason, they list, among other things, the Testimony of the restaurant owner who thinks shits in his area are mostly done for personal reasons. A common motive is greed.

French Montana does not see itself as responsible. In his statement via Twitter, he explains that he only celebrated his new CB6 mixtape with his friends in the restaurant. It should not have been a music video shoot.

In his opinion, he and his friends were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. He himself was not hit by the bullets and injured in the incident. For up to 10 people, the evening ended with serious injuries. The police have not yet released any further details regarding the injured. There were no deaths.
