ISRAEL was documented committing 185 violations against Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip and West Bank during September. This is based on a media group report on Friday (4/10).

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate said two journalists were killed by Israeli soldiers in September in Gaza and nine were injured by live Israeli bullets in Gaza and the West Bank.

Additionally, five people were detained from the West Bank. Then, there were 10 reported cases of soldiers raiding media offices and journalists’ homes.

A total of 23 journalists were also reported to have suffered asphyxiation due to tear gas while covering the Israeli attacks. There are 67 people banned from media coverage throughout the West Bank.

The Israeli army closed Al Jazeera’s Qatar-based media outlet, Ramallah, and confiscated its equipment. The Israeli army also destroyed Radio Nas equipment in Jenin as well as 11 media companies.

In recent years, the Israeli military has carried out increasingly frequent raids in the West Bank as the war in Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, Palestinians are also the targets of cruel attacks from illegal Israeli settlers. At least 741 Palestinians were killed and more than 6,000 others injured as a result of Israeli army fire in the occupied territories, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The International Court of Justice on July 19 declared Israel’s decades-long occupation of Palestinian land illegal. The court demanded the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. (Ant/Z-2)
