Shooting in Saint-Servais: a young suspect arrested

Thursday in the middle of the followingnoon, the Namur police formed a security perimeter in the Germinal city, in Saint-Servais. At the level of Nanon and Fours à Chaux streets, shots rang out.

A person was targeted but was not hit, the Namur prosecutor’s office had specified. Three people were arrested a little later in the evening and experts descended on the spot.

This Saturday, the prosecution reported that a person was deprived of liberty and heard by the investigating judge on duty.

The suspect will appear before the council chamber within five days. He is a young man born in 2001. He is of Albanian origin and has been living in Belgium for 4 years.

The young man was charged with attempted murder and a violation of the law on weapons.
