The body of a one-year-old child was found in the Leninsky district of Tula on the evening of December 4. The suspect in the criminal case of the murder of a minor (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was soon detained. It turned out to be the baby’s father.
According to the Investigative Committee of the region, the child was fatally stabbed. Investigators and criminologists are working at the scene together with police officers and experts.
The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tula region added that the suspect was detained two kilometers from the crime scene. The boy’s father tried to commit suicide in a field.
An ambulance was called to the scene of the arrest. The man’s life is not currently in danger. The suspect will be handed over to investigative authorities in the near future. The motive for the crime has not yet been reported.
