Two teenagers tried for deliberately killing a cyclist

Two American teenagers accused of deliberately hitting and killing a cyclist, one even filming the whole thing from their car, appeared in court for the first time on Thursday.
The unbearable cellphone images, which circulated on the internet and created controversy, show the vehicle rushing towards the victim, Andreas Probst, 64, a retired police officer who was riding a bicycle. In this video, one of the teenagers can be heard saying “kick him out”, according to the local press. Hit from behind, the cyclist hit the windshield before hitting the ground as the car sped away.
Jesus Ayala, 17, suspected of having been behind the wheel, and Zamir Keys, 16, who was a passenger and filmed the tragedy which took place in August in Nevada, have been charged with murder, assault and battery as well as attempted murder and will be tried as adults. In addition, Jesus Ayala is charged with theft since the vehicle he was driving was stolen. “I don’t know why he did that. I don’t know if God can forgive that,” said his mother, quoted by the «Daily Mail».
The two young people had already been guilty of at least three hit-and-runs on the same day before knocking down the former police officer on a deserted road.
