A tourist died following jumping down a water slide. Upon reaching the edge of the pool, the man hit his head on the floor and was unconscious in the water. The images of the moment quickly went viral on social networks.
The dramatic episode occurred on June 26 in a five-star hotel in the province of Antalya, Turkey. There, Ali Cilga, 65, jumped off the springboard despite previously being warned of the danger, local media reported.

The entire sequence was captured by the security cameras of the place that show how the man reaches the edge of the pool and brutally hits his head.

According to what was reported by The Mirror, a man finally realized the situation, jumped into the water and pulled Cilga out. He immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him and he was quickly transferred to an area hospital.
Within a few hours, sadly, the 65-year-old man died. He was reportedly at the hotel celebrating Eid al-Adha, one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar.
Following the death, an investigation began and an autopsy was ordered by the Manavgat Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Antalya Institute of Forensic Medicine.

The tragedy took place just days before a 5-year-old boy was injured on a Georgia waterslide as onlookers looked on in horror. According to what was detailed by Fox News Digital, the minor was in a double tube at the Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park when he fell 15 to 20 feet from the slide.
Park workers claimed they saw the little boy “fly” off the slide as whistles blew, apparently park protocol when an emergency or injury occurs.

He was immediately transferred to the Erlanger Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he remained hospitalized for several days.
