Spanish star Marco Asensio has entered the final year of his contract with Real Madrid and is unlikely to extend it now, and he may be offered the opportunity to move to Barcelona next summer.
At the end of the 2022-2023 season, the Spanish international will be able to join any club he wishes with a free transfer deal, and he is also entitled to negotiate with any team next January.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is interested in Asensio due to his age, footballing quality and his ability to play in more than one position.

Asensio is 26 years old and has scored 50 goals in 239 games with Real Madrid since joining the Bernabeu from Mallorca in 2015.
