This is the 35-year-old Irini – Despina Dimitraki – Aroni, as reported by Rhodianwho was 7 months pregnant with her baby and who in a few months would dress up as a bride to religiously marry her husband, Vassilis Aronis.
Irini, as her relatives stated speaking to “Rodiaki”, had a difficult pregnancy and for this reason, the family decided to go to a private hospital in Athens, in order to be monitored by doctors. The doctors, however, assured them that everything was going smoothly, but unfortunately the facts were not like that.
The two young people, who were planning their lives, had decided to marry religiously last September but the wedding was postponed because the 35-year-old should not be tired and suffer. On the 31st of last October, the two children were civilly married in the hospital! And they were re-planning their wedding right after the birth of their child.
Doctors at the hospital discharged the 35-year-old mother on November 6 but told her to stay in Athens and not return to Rhodes, recommending that she go in the morning and afternoon for a relevant check-up. That’s how it happened.
But on Sunday night, while the whole family was in the house they had rented near the Hospital, the girl suffered, according to the first indications, a seizure! An ambulance from EKAB and the private hospital in Athens was immediately called, which arrived almost simultaneously. Also, a doctor from the hospital that was very close, went and started resuscitation procedures, but unfortunately everything was now too late.
The girl was immediately taken to the hospital, where her baby was taken from her, who is now in the Intensive Care Unit, with doctors fighting to keep him alive.
The funeral will take place on Friday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios (Old Cemetery)
