Shiva Sentenced to 6 1/2 Years for Attempted Murder. Trapper Takes a Sting –

The Court of Milan has sentenced the trapper Shiva, stage name of Andrea Arrigoni, to 6 years, 6 months and 20 days of imprisonment for having shot and wounded two of his alleged attackers on 11 July 2023 inside the courtyard of the offices of his record company in Settimo Milanese. The 24-year-old singer was charged with attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen goods. Judges Ferraro-De Cristofaro-Marchegiani of the eighth criminal section recognized the singer, defended by lawyers Daniele Barelli and Marco Campora, as having only one mitigating circumstance: having compensated the two victims, who did not join the civil action. The generic ones and that of provocation were excluded.

“He is a boy who is aware and strong of his innocence,” commented lawyer Campora outside the courtroom while his colleague Barelli has already announced an appeal following the reading of the reasons, which will be filed within 90 days. “He is a strong and courageous boy” who reacted to a “paramilitary expedition of two MMA fighters,” the lawyers say. The 24-year-old is “aware of his innocence and convinced that he will be able to demonstrate his innocence in the crime of attempted murder. He appreciated that public opinion understood. We respect the sentences and will read the reasons but we are sure of our theses. We argued with our consultants that there is no crime of attempted murder and a ballistics report shows that all the shots were fired downwards.” Arrigoni left the courthouse to return to house arrest where he has been since last February, following a period of almost four months in the San Vittore prison.
