Shipping times are already getting longer for the new Mac Studio

It will take more than a month to get our hands on the new Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra chip.

Most of the products presented by Apple this Tuesday evening can already be ordered. This is particularly the case with the new desktop Mac, MacStudio, a hybrid model between the Mac Pro and the Mac mini. The new screen presented this evening, le Studio Displaycan also be ordered from the online store.

Products that can already be purchased, but which will not arrive in the hands of their future buyer overnight. During the keynote, Apple announced that all the products presented this evening will be available for sale from Friday, March 18. But there is a gap between “available for sale” and “available” at all.

Indeed, the Mac Studio and the Studio Display are already several weeks late for their delivery. As for the new desktop computer, it is the M1 Ultra configuration which is the most victim of its success. Sold from €4,629, the Mac Studio M1 Ultra in its initial configuration is, at the time of writing, already more available than between April 6 and 13, i.e. almost a month of delay.

The customers who will have to be the most patient are those who want to buy the Mac Studio M1 Ultra with a 64-core GPU, 128GB of RAM and an 8TB SSD. If you order it now, you won’t receive it until April 20-26. A configuration which will however not be accessible to all budgets, since it costs a whopping €9,229.

For its part, the Studio Display displays more reasonable delivery times, but also delayed. With its standard glass, the new screen can only be delivered between March 30 and April 6, while the nano-textured glass screen is not available until April 6.
