In Belgium, the legal retirement age is 65. Pixie Curtis is a far cry from that number. Barely 11 years old, the little girl is indeed “in semi-retirement”, as Roxy, her mother, explains. The reason ? Her hair accessory brand Pixie’s Bows, created by her mother when she was still a baby, is a hit! The more the years have passed, the more Pixie has become the face of this success.
It must be said that the little girl is well helped by Roxy, her mother being an Australian expert in public relations. At the time of writing these few lines, Pixie is also followed by more than 124,000 subscribers on Instagram, just that!
Since success is not enough, the mother and her daughter have also launched a toy brand, Pixie’s Fidget. The latter brings them no less than 130,000 euros per month.
Nevertheless, Pixie must take a step back. “We discussed our plans for the future. Now that high school is fast approaching, Pixie thought it was a wise decision to leave the toy industry. She is now semi-retired so she can focus more on school. The online store will always exist, but we are going back to our roots with the hairpins and rubber bands”, explains his mother.
The mother of the family is strongly criticized. Roxy does not hesitate to break the piggy bank to offer extravagant gifts to her daughter, such as the rental of a nightclub at 25,000 euros or even a Mercedes at the price of 50,000 €. While her daughter is only 11 years old.
