Sher Afzal Marwat’s party core membership suspended after Imran Khan’s directive – Pakistan

Sher Afzal Marwat’s basic membership of the party was suspended following the directives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

The basic membership of Shirafazl Marwat, who was surrounded by controversies due to his statements, was suspended. It should be noted that the sources had said that the party leaders met Imran Khan in Adiala Jail on Thursday in which the PTI founder gave the party leadership authority to take action once morest those who violated the party policy. In this regard, the sources said that Imran Khan had directed to suspend Sher Afzal Marwat’s party membership.

PTI has formed an inquiry committee regarding violation of party discipline in this regard. Secretary General Tehreek-e-Insaf Umar Ayub Khan has issued a notification.

The investigation committee includes Rauf Hasan, Brigadier Retired Mossadegh Malik, Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Dawood Khan Kakar.

It may be recalled that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had issued a show-cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat in May 2 months before the suspension of Sher Afzal Marwat’s basic membership.

In May itself, Sher Afzal Marwat was expelled from PTI’s WhatsApp group.
