Shelley Duvall, star of The Shining, has died

Actress and producer Shelley Duvall died Thursday, July 11, in her sleep at home due to complications related to diabetes. Dan Gilroy, Duvall’s partner since 1989, made the news in statements to the magazine The Hollywood Reporter.

“My dear, sweet, wonderful partner and friend has left us. She has suffered too much lately, she is free now. Fly high, beautiful Shelley,” Gilroy told reporters. The 75-year-old artist remained at her residence in Blanco, Texas.
