Today morning, the Head of Government Claudia Sheinbaum concluded her tours of the Fourth Government Report through the 16 mayors of Mexico City and her last stop was in Azcapotzalco, where she considered that the reports in mayors should endure as an exercise in transparency before the neighbors.
“We are closing this accountability effort, the day is the assembly, the 16th report of all mayors of Mexico City. Normally, the rulers report in front of the Congress of Mexico City, they give their report every year in front of Congress and this year that the pandemic subsided, that we are in better conditions, we decided that we were going to visit the 16 mayors of Mexico City. I think that this exercise had never been done, and it is important because if one did not have the support of the people, if one had closeness as a ruler, then it would be difficult for one to walk the streets, the public square and today I want first of all to thank everyone who participated in this exercise 130,000 people in Mexico City is as if we had filled the Zócalo of the City in each of the mayor’s offices and it is an exercise that is important to endure because one of the ruler’s obligations is always be accountable to his people,” he said.
