Mexico City,- Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced the Construction of new “3,000 kilometers of passenger trains” during his government, and he pledged to consolidate the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Train; in addition to revealing plans for indigenous peoples.

”We have taken the decision to continue building trains, Now we are going to go north, remember that we talked regarding several projects in the campaign and we are consolidating these projects (…)

“This year, there were just over 1,500 kilometers and now we would be building twice as many passenger trains —and we will be presenting it next week—, one of them is to Nuevo Laredo, we have already defined that one and the other is the one we are already working on doing,” he explained.

Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the new 3,000 kilometers of passenger trains They will continue to be built with the same strategy promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in projects such as the Mayan Train, where coordinated work was carried out between engineers from the armed forces and companies.

”The goal is to build 3,000 kilometers of passenger trains in the next six years,” announced Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, virtual President-elect of Mexico, at a press conference, to continue with the mission of bringing prosperity to all communities, just as President Andrés Manuel López Obrador did in the southeast of the country.

”I would be in the same way that the Mayan Train has been builtpartly with military engineers and partly with companies. The goal would even be to put it out to tender in 2024 so that it can be built in 2025 with the resources available in 2025,” he said.

Claudia promises to consolidate the Mayan Train

He also emphasized that during his government, will consolidate the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Train.

”We have also been working on the infrastructure program, which we will probably present next week. One of the decisions I have made is that we will continue with passenger trains in the country. Currently, there is the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Train, which is already for passengers. Two very important interconnections are missing from the Interoceanic Train, one to Dos Bocas, Paraíso, Tabasco, to the refinery, which is a freight train, but also for passengers, and also as part of the ‘Mayan Renaissance’, a project by ”Huacho” Díaz Mena, the governor-elect, the continuation of the train to Puerto Progreso,” he added.

Plans for indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples

He pointed out that his government will also promote and continue the Justice Plans for indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples.

The objective is, in addition to the constitutional reform, to continue with the justice plans, to advance on the pending issues that are already in place and at the same time advance the Justice Plans,” he announced.

He stressed that in addition to the modification to the Constitution to make indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples subjects of lawit is also vitally important to continue to guide the reform of the Judicial Branch to ensure that all Mexicans have access to justice.

Claudia Sheinbaum is going for the renewal of the Judiciary

’’We are talking regarding a Judicial Power (…) It is not the citizens who elect him and who reports to him is the boss, not the people of Mexico. At a press conference, Claudia Sheinbaum announced that next Thursday she will present the next heads of the Ministries of Culture, Tourism, Labor and Social Security, as well as the person who will serve as the head of the Office of the President.
