UAE will invest 20 to 25 billion dollars in Pakistan. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwarul Haq Kakar and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir held an important meeting.

In this meeting, MoUs were signed between Pakistan and the UAE on investment cooperation in the fields of energy, port operations projects, waste water treatment, food security, logistics, minerals and banking and financial services.

Under the agreements, UAE will invest 20 to 25 billion dollars in Pakistan. This will pave the way for economic stability in Pakistan and the investment will also help in fulfilling various initiatives under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The Prime Minister termed the signing of the MoU as a historic initiative that will usher in a new era of Pakistan-UAE economic partnership. Earlier, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar met the President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was also present on this occasion.

In the meeting, the two leaders emphasized that Pakistan and the UAE have historic and deep brotherly ties that have stood the test of time. On this occasion, the commitment to further strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation and dialogue between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates was reiterated.
