The road is being developed in such a way that it can accommodate 10,000 vehicles. The project is being implemented along Rasal Khor Road, from the intersection of Dubai-Al Ain Road to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, along eight kilometers. It has been decided to extend the road into three or four lanes. Bridges are also being constructed in a length of two kilometers. Also, plans are underway to construct two-lane service roads on both sides of the road. Its works are going on. The goal is to provide safe transportation to the people of the country. The project aims at seamless travel and elimination of existing overlapping traffic spots.
This road will be of great benefit to those in the Lagoons, Dubai Creek, Maidan Horizon, Ras Al Khor, Al Wasl and Nad Al Hamar Complex areas. The region has a population of 6,50,000. RTA Director General and Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors Matar Al Tayer released the information related to the road through Twitter.
The project also includes the construction of a 68-meter long two-lane tunnel to ease access from Ras Al Khor Road to Nada Al Hamar. He also said that there are plans to build a bridge over Dubai Creek in the future to connect Bardubai Al Jaddaf with the street between the Dubai Creek Project and Dubai Festival City.
