India-based former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wajid has alleged that the US is playing a role in removing her from power.
According to the Indian newspaper “Economic Times”, Hasina Wajid claimed that if she was willing to compromise on Bangladesh’s sovereignty, especially handing over the island of St. Martin to the US and allowing US influence over the Bay of Bengal. She could have remained in this position.

The ousted Bangladeshi prime minister said, ‘I resigned so that I would not have to see the procession of dead bodies. They wanted to come to power on the dead bodies of the students, but I did not allow it.’
