The last chapter of the spy soap opera comes directly from the Perugia Prosecutor’s Office. According to a document, anticipated by LaPresse, the leaders of the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office knew of anomalies in the activities of the financier Pasquale Striano as early as 2020. They would have been informed of this by the then deputy prosecutor, Giovanni Russo, with a report in which they reported alleged interference by the financier employee of the SOS group (reporting suspicious operations) on the activities of other groups of investigators. From what we understand, no follow-up was given to the report. Obviously the Grillina troops arrived in solidarity with De Raho. According to M5S vice-president Michele Gubitosa «are we really discussing a communication that has never been made official or sent through the formal channels strictly established by the DNA? Enough with the slander.” The group leader in the Senate Stefano Patuanelli is certain that «if (De Raho, ed.) had had news of illegitimate and illicit dossiers he would have reported them first, because he would have had no interest in not doing so. I trust much more what Cafiero De Raho tells me, who absolutely denies having had any news or knowledge of this crime.”

While the senator of Italia Viva Raffaella Paita returned to ask «De Raho to shed light on what he knows about the affair of the financier Striano and the dossiers. The news that has leaked out on the Perugia investigation raises new questions to which it would be appropriate to give answers, precisely to avoid hypotheses and inferences.” The declarations of the majority are of the opposite sign. The vice-president of Noi Moderati and member of the Anti-Mafia Commission Pino Bicchielli «if all this were to be confirmed, it would be a very serious matter for the democratic life of the country». The vice-president of the Anti-Mafia Commission Mauro D’Attis: «Reading the press agencies there is confusion in the commission, first of all because Russo’s statements in the commission were different and then there is a direct involvement of the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office directed at the time by his colleague De Raho therefore needs to give immediate feedback and we will have it in the next few hours.”

Anti-mafia, according to the Prosecutor's Office, De Raho knew. He denies it: I'm the one in the file

It is yet another chapter in a story that has been going on for months and which the president of the Anti-Mafia Commission Colosimo has tried to remedy (at least as regards the conflict of interest position of the former prosecutor now in the Commission). The proposal is to amend the law governing the establishment of the Anti-Mafia Commission and provide for the exclusion of parliamentarians with alleged conflicts of interest. A specific regulation for cases of incompatibility of individual commissioners in relation to specific investigations by the parliamentary body. In practice, the members of San Macuto are to abstain from participating in the work if an incompatibility profile emerges. Abstention from consulting documentation concerning the documents of specific investigations is also foreseen. Mauro D’Attis (FdI): «We need to give immediate feedback and we will have it in the next few hours».
