For the next 19 years, she was raised by Lavona and Michael, having no idea that she was the biological daughter of another family.
When she decided to get married, she wanted both her parents to accompany her on that important day. Lavona Solomon, who kidnapped Miche, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for the crime.
She was arrested following a DNA test in 2015 revealed that she and her husband, Michael, were not Miche’s biological parents.
Lavona had fertility problems around the time Miche was born: she had had a late-term miscarriage and took Miche out of her crib in the maternity ward, dressed as a nurse.
Although Miche no longer has any contact with the woman who raised her, she doesn’t see her as a criminal. “I don’t see the mother who raised me criminal and evil. All were injured in the process. We all needed to heal.”

The revelation for Miche came when she met another girl very similar to her, who went to the same school as her: Cassidy. This led to Miche’s school social workers asking her to take a DNA test.

“When I met my birth parents, there was no such connection. She was looking for him, but at first she didn’t feel it. I was raised by Lavona and Michael all my life, ”explained the young woman regarding the difficult situation she experienced when she found out her true identity.
This tension, he said, was also present between both families: “I really had to adjust to having two different fathers in my life. But I knew I wanted both of them to walk me down the aisle when I got married.”
“The relationship between my two families is improving. They get along now: we’ve all grown up, realized we’re human, and are finally coming to terms with what happened. We show mutual respect to each other, and we are all very understanding,” he said.
