A young Montrealer of only 13 years old decided to transform her passion for plants into a real boutique located on Laurier Avenue.
After years of cultivating her passion at home, Maude Rioux opened Espace Maude last February, a boutique and transactional website that offers plants and accessories, with delivery anywhere in Quebec.

“It all started when I went on a road trip to the United States with my mother. When we went to Arizona, I fell in love with the cacti and the plants which were huge,” the young entrepreneur told QUB radio on Thursday.
When she returned, Maude started collecting plants, until she had regarding 300 in her room.
His family thus had the idea, by noticing a vacant place at random of a walk on the avenue Laurier, to set up a shop, today supplied thanks to suppliers of plants.

Maude Rioux follows her school curriculum at home, which allows her to develop her business.
“Because I’m homeschooling, it gives me a lot more freedom in my small business. In the morning, I devote myself to my studies and in the followingnoon, I go to my shop,” she told host Yasmine Abdelfadel.
The passion of the budding entrepreneur, who intends to continue to develop her taste for business, has gone so far as to attract the attention of Radio Télévision Suisse, which recently devoted a report to her.
“My wish would be for all Quebecers to have at least one plant inside the house, because a plant really feels good,” enthused the teenager.
