A young woman from Australia has found an unusual way to make money.
Monique Jeremiah, 36, decided to rent out the other half of her bed to strangers to survive the housing crisis.
This increasingly widespread practice is called “hot bedding”.
“Hot bedding is great for people who are able to emotionally detach and sleep next to another person in a totally respectful and unattached way,” Monique Jeremiah told CastersNews.

Monique says it can be a very lucrative trend, provided both parties agree on the terms of the deal.
According to her, it is the same principle as sharing a room with two beds, but with only one bed. She specifies that a large bed and a large bedroom are however necessary so that everyone has their personal space.
Thus, she asks $160 per week, and $640 per month for the other half of her bed.
It is even thinking of raising its prices, given the increase in demand, and especially the inflation which continues to increase in Australia.
