Witnessing her physical ill-being, her husband therefore took the decision to take her to the hospital where she contracted sepsis, a generalized infection caused by bacteria. Unfortunately, his condition continued to deteriorate and the doctors prepared Ricky for the worst possible situation. They quickly made it clear to her that they had exhausted all possible options to save her. As they had envisioned, she died a few hours later at the age of 40.

“Lindsey, my beautiful wife, gained her angel wings on Saturday January 28th, sadly I lost her,” he confided, explaining that she was going to leave a big void in his life. “She lit up every room she walked into. Since the death of his wife, Ricky has received many messages of support, a comfort for which he wants to be very grateful. A fundraiser to help with funeral expenses has also been created and has already raised $1,850.
