Anmol Baloch’s recently concluded drama ‘Siyaani’ has been continuously trending on YouTube.
Anmol has appeared in traditional heroine roles as well as negative roles and now her drama Sayani is over but she has two new dramas starting later this month.
When we arrived to interview Anmol Baloch, he was wearing a black shirt over blue jeans for the chilly weather and his pendant was glinting from a distance. Although there was some traffic noise in the verandah, we decided that it would be better to conduct the interview in natural light instead of artificial light.
The first question as soon as she sat down was why she played such a combative role, when she herself looks so innocent and sweet.
Anmol said that she wants to continue doing different types of roles, colorful roles in life are fun. When this role of Sayani came to him, it was felt that the essence of acting can be shown more in a negative role. That’s why she did this role, but she doesn’t always do negative roles, she has done many heroine roles, in which she tried her best to be Sayani.
Anmol said that earlier the name of his play was ‘Satam Shabar’, but later the name was changed but he had no role in the change.
Anmol did not seem to agree with the end of the drama serial Sayani’s Karan, she said, ‘It could have been something else, if a person has been doing very wrong things, then it is not necessary for him to end. That’s how he dies, he can recover, he can learn a lesson, but because it was written like that, I didn’t say much about it.’
Anmol said, ‘If I had my way, she would have given Karan’s character a chance to start a new life.’
Anmol Baloch admitted that ‘Women in Pakistani dramas are very stereotypical, either women are crying a lot, or they are very bad. All the scripts that are coming out these days have the same stories which make the actors very bored, so the writers should change their scripts a bit.’
Anmol believes that ‘now that the era of web series is here and there is a lot of daring content being created, it will have an impact on TV, but it will take time, when people get bored of watching the same old themes. If you do, then you will have to create something new.’

About acting in films, Anmol admits that she was a bit hesitant in this regard, but now she is mentally ready for the film, earlier she was not ready herself.
