A commuter from Ticino is very angry with the SBB. Indeed, this citizen of Biasca, who goes every day to Bellinzona for her work, was fined 140 francs. Reason: she was “pinched” by a controller in a car of 1re class, while she only has one subscription for the 2e class.
If the traveler is so outraged, it’s because she wasn’t really traveling in 1re class. According to her, she was only crossing the car to be able to get off the train faster. Indeed, the car reserved for the 2e class was crowded that day and the traveler was closer to the exit by going through wagon 1re class. “I take the train every day. I know the rules very well. If I was in this car, it was only to get off the train”, she confided to Tio.ch.
The controller did not want to know of her explanations, according to her. The Ticino woman also contacted SBB customer service to explain that there was a misunderstanding. In vain too. Discouraged, she ended up paying the fine. But she refuses to stop there. “I demand that my file be reviewed,” she thunders.
On the SBB side, the version is different. According to them, the woman was pinched, not standing, but sitting. She would also be a repeat offender. This is partly confirmed by the traveler. She acknowledges having already paid 2 fines, but for different reasons, either for misuse of the EasyRide application, according to her.
