A Apple today released an update for the Shazam, your music recognition application. The new feature of this version (15.33) is the support for Apple Music Classicalallowing users to also identify classical music.
Recognition happens in the same way as usual: when opening the app, just press the Shazam button so that the song in question is identified — but, in addition, it is also possible to search for a specific work.
When the song is identified, when tapping the track page menu, users will now see an option called “Open not Classical”which will take them directly to Apple’s classical music service.
Launched last March, Apple Music Classical has a collection of more than five million songs. According to the company, this is the most extensive classical music library in the world.
The app works a little differently than the standard service, allowing users to see all available recordings of a work and even a presentation chosen by the editor. Despite being free to download, Apple Music Classical requires an Apple Music subscription (no additional charges).
