Shazam now recognizes songs even with headphones connected

Little by little, the Shazam becomes even more complete and versatile. This week, for example, Apple’s music recognition service was updated with something interesting to say the least.

According to the release notes for version 17.2, released yesterday (25/1), the application can now identify songs when the iPhone/iPad is connected to some headset.

Now you can identify songs using wired or wireless headphones. Just open the app and when the headphone icon appears on the Home Screen, you can search for songs playing in other apps or around you.

Anyone who frequently uses the app already knows that, for some time now, it has been possible to identify songs in other apps with Shazam — but not using headphones.

With the news, therefore, let’s say you are using headphones in a coffee shop and want to know what music is playing. To do this, simply open Shazam or access it through the Control Center to identify the song without taking off your headphones — and the same goes for music in apps.

Not cool?
