Kozhikode: A new slum is being formed under the leadership of MK Raghavan in the district Congress amid the controversy raised by Shashi Tharoor’s visit. After T. Siddique distanced himself from the A group leadership, the A group leaders of many Atthalaya districts are united under Raghavan. Efforts are being made to bring those who have feelings once morest the current DCC leadership into this group.

Although 8 KPCC members signed Shashi Tharoor’s nomination papers from the district in the Congress presidential election, it was not an organized move. But with an unannounced ban on Shashi Tharoor’s show, Raghavan was forced to show his strength by keeping his associates in front.

Group A K.C. Raghavan was able to keep the faction led by Abu and group A youth leaders like NSU General Secretary KM Abhijith and Youth Congress State General Secretary VP Dulkhif with him. The state leadership of Group A did not take a public stand on the Shashi Tharoor controversy which also helped in this move.

Earlier, the A group of the district under the leadership of K.C.Abu and T.Siddiq, which was on two floors, is now on several floors. Efforts are being made to unite them and activate the old A group. Meanwhile KPCC members KP Babu and KT James from Group A are currently not with this move.
