Two conspicuous dorsal fins visible on the water’s surface near a beach in Vodice caused a stir among bathers in the Croatian city. Several pulled out their mobile phones to film the event and post it on social media.
The animals spotted are probably two baby blue sharks. This species of fish is found in many seas, including the Mediterranean. The two blue sharks pose little danger to humans at their young age. Adult animals can grow to three to four meters in length and usually stay in deeper waters.
