Royere-de-Vassiviere. Share your photos from your Iphone. Apple has just released the new IOS 16.1 update, which allows iPhone owners to activate the shared photo library, a long-awaited feature. The Photos application of the iPhone goes even further since it is also possible to create moments, albums shared automatically according to the place and the people.
What is the shared photo library?
Thanks to iCloud, you can back up your photos and videos to Apple’s servers, which allows you to restore your photos if your device fails. You can also select a stream of photos or videos and share them directly with your family or friends. Icloud thus frees up space since your photos are no longer stored on your iPhone but directly on Apple’s servers. Thanks to the shared photo library (only one), you can directly access the photos on your iPhone and those of your contact. This tool is also available on IPADs, always provided you have the IOS 16.1 update.
How to activate it?
Make sure the iPhone is at version 16.1, then go to Settings then Photos and then click on the menu Shared photo library . We will then add participants (5 maximum) via the contacts who must have an iPhone or an Ipad at version 16.1.
You will then select the photos or videos from your photo library that you want to share with contacts. After previewing the shared photo library to see if it works for you, you’ll click “continue” at the top of the window.
Note that contacts will be able to add, edit and delete content, but you can be notified of deletions and restore photos in case of error. Similarly, your contact’s photos and videos can also be published in the shared photo library.
