Colombian singer Shakira will perform at the 2024 Copa América final on July 14 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, United States.
Through the Copa América social networks, it was revealed on July 9 that the Colombian will be in charge of performing the first musical performance during the half-time of the tournament between the finalist teams.
“Get ready to feel the greatness in a show that will make the continent vibrate!” said the Copa América on its X account (formerly Twitter).
On May 15, Shakira revealed that her song “Aim” had been chosen as the official song for the 2024 Copa América.
“It’s the most important football event of the year because we know that this song is going to be the sound of summer for fans around the world. It’s the power of our culture and our music,” said the Barranquilla native on a Univision program.
The stadium where the Copa América final will be played has the capacity to host more than 65 thousand fans.
The singer’s performance precedes the start of her world tour, with the name ‘Women Don’t Cry’which will begin in the US on November 2, 2024.
The Copa America opening show was also hosted by a Colombian artist. Singer Feid was in charge of opening the tournament on June 20 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shakira’s participation in football tournaments
