The artist from Barranquilla tells everything regarding her ex-partner, the former Spanish soccer player. She talks regarding her latest songs, her children and the future of her career.

With everything experienced due to the break in the relationship between Shakira and former soccer player Gerard Piqué, hundreds of rumors have been released on social networks explaining the end of the relationship between the Barranquillera and the Spaniard, who for more than 12 years were together. Likewise, the couple continues to have two children together, of which they have also been in the public eye.
In the midst of this context and along with a musical resurgence of Shakira, the singer from Barranquilla gave an interview with the journalist Enrique Acevedo, who directs the program O’clock of N+, Mexican news channel of the Televisa group. It is the first television interview that he has given since his break with the former soccer player.
In the first advance that the chain launched regarding the interview with the Barranquillera, she said that the end of her relationship with Gerard Piqué also meant that for her she ended a fable in which she believed. “I also bought that story that a woman needs a man to complete herself,” said the Barranquilla woman, who said that she also dreamed of being with a father under the same roof for her children, but it will not be possible.
“Not all dreams in life come true, but life finds a way to make it up to you,” said Shakira, who talks regarding how the whole breakup process has made her much stronger in every way. She confessed that she was always emotionally dependent on men and love. “I have been in love with love,” she later told regarding what all the mourning meant to her.
Likewise, she talked regarding how she always expresses her personal experiences through her music, saying that it is catharsis and therapy for her. “My lyrics, my songs and my music in general are more eloquent than myself,” said the Barranquillera woman with a laugh.
In the same way, he recounted the importance that he launched together with the Argentine DJ and producer, Bizarrap. “At that session they might have taken a photo of me before and following and you would notice the difference. I entered the studio one way and came out another,” he recounted. “It was a great release, necessary for my own healing and recovery process. It is feeling what you have to feel, but also thinking regarding what you are thinking”.
“I have felt really supported by my audience in a way that I never expected that they were so key to help me lift when I was on the floor, that I was on the floor for a long time, they gave me the strength to get up and say that I am ready for the next round. Let life come and show me what else there is,” Shakira said in the interview.
Regarding her children, she first declared that she enjoys being able to continue to be current in the world of music, since they can enjoy with her at the moment she lives. “They have a fairly active participation in my career, they have good ideas, a lot of criteria and many opinions”, telling that his youngest son, Sasha, gave the idea of the robot in the song ‘I congratulate you’ and Milan, the first son, the one with the green fire.
The singer from Barranquilla told regarding what is coming in her career, that tributes are coming from the Grammy Awards, of his work and achievements in the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which helps thousands of children in vulnerable conditions to have better living conditions.
She said that if she looked back on her career and thought regarding what is missing, she still remains motivated to discover who she is and what she can give. “I have always been very restless and I constantly owe myself that I want to check if I still have that talent and it hasn’t disappeared. But that’s what makes me want to keep releasing music and now I’m more excited than ever”.
“Now I am going up, I have more confidence in myself, that this is what is difficult for the human being, that we do not know how we are going to react, we do not believe in our own resilience. I did not know that I might become strong, I always believed that I was going to be rather fragile, but you have to have faith, faith in yourself”, closed the award-winning artist from Barranquilla.
