Shakira, the star of the Copa America final half-time show, lit up a night marked by chaos and disaster at the entrance to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (USA) on Sunday with her music.

The match between Argentina and Colombia started one hour and 22 minutes late following very dangerous scenes were seen in the surrounding area.

Finally, the organisers opened the doors wide at 8:10 p.m. and people with and without tickets flooded in, so the venue’s capacity was exceeded.

After all this and following the first half, Shakira, in a metallic grey outfit and on a stage located on one of the sidelines of the field, put on a show during the intermission with the aim of remembering the shows that dazzle every year at the Super Bowl.

The short concert (regarding seven minutes) began tonight in Miami with songs like “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Te felicito” before playing “Puntería,” the official anthem of this Copa América, which has been heard in all the tournament’s stadiums over the past month.

“Where are the Colombians? And the Argentines? What a night, my God…” said the Barranquilla native on stage.

This was the first time that the Copa América organized a concert during the half-time of its final.

Shakira was not the only Colombian star who shone tonight, as Karol G, also greeted with a huge ovation, sang the Colombian anthem before the match started.
