Shakira destroys her ex Pique in a new song: “You changed a Ferrari for a Twingo”

“A wolf like me doesn’t deserve a guy like you. “His name is not mentioned but it is incontestably Gerard Piqué that Shakira targets in her new title entitled “BZRP Music Sessions #53”, published this Thursday on YouTube. A song that quickly went viral.

In a studio with blue lights, the Colombian singer dressed in a flashy outfit wiggles while settling accounts with the former FC Barcelona footballer, with whom she officially broke up last June. “You claim to be a champion but when I needed you, you gave your worst version”, declares the pop star in particular.

Gerard Pique and Shakira had announced their separation following twelve years of living together, following rumors of infidelity on the part of the Spanish player on social networks which had ignited the web. The 45-year-old singer now seems to have definitively drawn a line under her past. “I won’t come back to you, even if you cry or beg me,” can be heard during the less than four-minute song.

The interpreter of “Waka waka” even takes the opportunity to attack the new companion of her ex-boyfriend: the Spanish Clara Chia, 23 years old. “You changed a Ferrari for a Twingo”, “A Rolex for a Casio”, she sings to electronic music tinged with Latin rhythms.

To remove any ambiguity regarding the recipients of her sharp rhymes, she uses puns with “Piqué” and “Clara”. “Yo solo hago musica, lose that you salpique » (I just make music, sorry that it splashes you), she says first, before continuing: « Tiene nom de persona buena, Claramente no es como suena” (She has the name of a good person, which is clearly not the case).

The singer neither married the ex-FC Barcelona player – who announced in November his surprise retirement from sport at the age of 35 – neither shared his property with him and said he wanted to leave Spain, where a tax evasion case is opened once morest him. “You left me (…) with the press at the door and a tax debt, you thought you were hurting me and you toughened me up, women don’t cry anymore, women charge”, launches the singer in a last salvo.

“BZRP Music Session #53”, written in collaboration with the famous Argentinian producer Bizarrap, has been listened to 34 million times in less than 24 hours. Many comments associated with the song and its music video made it an international trend on social networks where Shakira has tens of millions of subscribers.

A communication campaign had begun the publication of this new planetary tube. Monday, along the beaches of the seaside resort of Mar del Plata, Argentina, a plane towed a banner in the sky with one of the verses of the song: “A wolf like me, not for a guy like you 11.01.23” .

This is the third song that Shakira dedicates to the separation of the couple in June, following “Te felicito” and “Monotonia”. In November, the couple announced that they had reached an agreement for the custody of their children, Milan (nine years old) and Sasha (seven years old).
