“Miner” gave in “Polyssyu” in the match of the 2nd round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Left Bank Stadium in Kyiv ended with a score of 0:1.
The only goal in this meeting was scored by the Zhytomyr team in the first half. In the 35th minute, Serhiy Chobotenko headed Oleksandr Nazarenko’s corner kick.
It should be noted that in the 59th minute the match was suspended due to an air raid signal.

For “miners” this is the first loss of points in the new UPL season. The current champions of Ukraine are in the starting round destroyed “Vorsklu” (5:0).
“Polyssia” played its first match in the UPL-2024/25 draw, because the match of the opening round with “Rukh” was postponed.
In the third round of the championship of Ukraine, on August 18, the Donetsk team will play against the debutant of the elite division “Left Bank”, and the Zhytomyr team will host “Ingulets” a day earlier.
We will remind, this season “Polyssia” has already managed to debut in the European Cups. The Zhytomyr team lost twice to the Slovenian “Olympia” (0:2, 1:2) in the second round of the Conference League qualification and flew out from the tournament.
