Shaken child syndrome, related to child abuse
Shaken Baby Syndrome is related to child abuse, often from caregivers, family members or their own fathers. Damage can be permanent and even fatal.

Another cause of this syndrome, although less frequent, is when a baby is attractive and adults make the mistake of shake it off more.
The expert explains that a baby’s body is not prepared for these sudden movements.

The Health Secretary estimates that between 65 and 85 percent of cases of shaken baby syndrome develop a hemorragia retiniana and sometimes retinal detachment.
Dr. Castellanos affirms that when a case arrives with a health professional, it must be reported to the authorities.
