By achieving a new offensive card (39 points) last night on the same floor as the one where he played his first All-Star Game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also took the opportunity to approach the podium of the best all-time scorers of Thunder. You’ll never guess who he passed…
And there it is. SGA passes Steven Adams on the Thunder’s all-time scoring list. https://t.co/7TVK34BVDl

Steven Adams.
Oui, Steven Adams was the fourth leading scorer in Thunder history (excluding Sonics, this explaining that…) before Shai Gilgeous-Alexander came to steal his place with 5,206 points scored in total under the tunic of Oklahoma City (5,191 for Adams). Limit that’s the most important info, the New Zealand pivot being more recognized for his qualities as a bodyguard than for those of a scorer. Without disrespecting him, and even if we know that he released four honorable seasons with more than 11 points on average at the Thunder (thanks to the caviars of Russell Westbrook), we weren’t really expecting the great Steven on such a list .
To go to the end of the delirium, Gilgeous-Alexander now has… Serge Ibaka – another offensive legend (no) – in the sights, he who squats in third place with 6,054 career points at OKC. Given the pace at which SGA is advancing (30 points on average this season), something tells us that this case will be settled quickly. It’s only then that the serious things will really begin for Shai, when he tries to close the gap with the two big faces of the franchise: Russell Westbrook (18,859 points) and Kevin Durant (15,942).
