Earlier, in the Ashiana Iqbal reference hearing, the NAB prosecution had submitted the interpretation of the Supreme Court’s decision to the accountability court, in which it had said that Ashiana Iqbal is one of those cases which the Supreme Court did not prohibit from pronouncing its verdict. Attorney General of Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan has been asked for his opinion, the report has been submitted after consultation with the Attorney General of Pakistan.
The prosecutor said that the Supreme Court order is related to the cases which were sent back to NAB from the courts, after the decision of the Supreme Court, these cases were restored back to the courts, Ashiana Iqbal reference is not included in these cases.
