The pre-election week begins for the final showdown in PASOK. Pavlos Geroulanos, who was left out of the second round, will meet today both with Nikos Androulakis at the PASOK president’s office at 11:30 in the morning and at 1:00 in the afternoon with Haris Doukas also in the Parliament. Both are attempting openings to their co-candidates in order to reach their voters.
In an interview with Mega, Nikos Androulakis said that he respects his co-candidates because they put up an important fight and there is no bargain, but the need for everyone to be together.
Haris Doukas speaking at Open praised the program of Pavlos Geroulanos and when asked if Mr. Geroulanos will be the head of the Parliamentary Group in case he is elected, Mr. Doukas said that Mr. Geroulanos himself will choose his role in PASOK.
However, both from the side of Mr. Geroulanos and from the staff of Ms. Anna Diamantopoulou, they said that they will continue the position that they cannot direct the citizens.
In the meantime, in the afternoon the representatives of Messrs. Androulakis and Doukas will meet in Harilaou Trikoupi for the debate. Both have stated that they are positive about public debate and confrontation of positions, but the day has to be found, as the margins are suffocating.
On Sunday, the second round of internal party elections takes place. The polling stations will be the same as the first round, those who voted on the first Sunday have the right to vote, while no new payment will be required.
