When you reach the restaurant, you will find a dish called ‘Nagoya Ladies Slap’ on the menu card. If you order it thinking it’s food, the kimono-clad women will smack you on the cheek and leave.
Don’t think this beat is free. It has to be paid for. The charge for this is 300 Japanese Yen (Rs. 170) and 500 Yen (Rs. 283). In 2012, Shattihokoya Restaurant first came up with such an idea. At first only one woman was assigned to be beaten. As the event became a super hit, more women were appointed for this.
But recently the owner of the restaurant has come forward with a response in this regard. The owner’s response was that after the video of him beating the diners went viral, he heard many criticisms and stopped the beating program. He also says that no one should visit the restaurant with the intention of beating up.
