The state news agency IRNA has now claimed: “Two weeks ago, after receiving reports of abuses in a football school in Mashhad, Seyyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sports and Youth, ordered the security of this ministry to look into the matter.
After investigating these allegations, if the reports received are true, the perpetrator or perpetrators of this incident must be dealt with decisively.”
However, a spokesman for the Football Association, Ahsan Asouli, has a different and contradictory account of the matter.
Asouli says, “The Football Association learned about the occurrence of such a case in one of the football schools, through the media, but so far we have not received a complaint from the Board of Directors of Khorasan Razavi Football Association or the Football Association.
