Emergency services, police and fire brigade arrived in large numbers – but were quickly able to give the all-clear.
“The naked body, which was floating face down in the water, was a discarded, lifelike-looking love doll,” said the police statement. The background to the incident remained unclear, but it did stimulate the imagination of the police press office. “It remains uncertain whether it (the doll, note) broke the heart of its unknown previous owner and that is why he parted with his precious item,” said the official statement. In any case, the fire department had taken care of “proper disposal.”
