Heavy rain with violent gusts of wind caused several fire brigade operations in Klagenfurt on Saturday followingnoon. Among other things, flooding had to be eliminated and fallen trees cleared out of the way.
Metal pieces fell from a roof downtown, one of which pierced the windshield of a parked car. In the early evening, severe thunderstorms, including hail, were also warned in the Lavanttal valley, but nothing was known regarding damage there at first.
