Heavy storms swept through the two US states of Kansas and Nebraska on Friday. There were tornadoes, destructive gusts of wind and hail, as reported, among other things, by the “Washington Post” on Saturday.
A particularly large tornado developed just before sunset in the suburbs of Kansas’ largest city, Wichita. He caused significant damage. Cars flew through the air, houses and shops were smashed. There were initially no reports of injuries or deaths. Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly declared a state of emergency.
