After storm Lambert: Delays on the Berlin – Hamburg railway line
The storm also affected train services early Friday morning. The route between Berlin and Hamburg was closed in the morning, according to a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn. The trains were diverted via Stendal and were delayed by about an hour. At around 1 p.m., the railways reported that the train route between Berlin and Hamburg was once again double-tracked.
According to railway information, the Kassel-Göttingen line can also be used on two tracks again. It was also initially closed and then released as a single track in the morning. In both cases, delays are still possible.
