K15 people died in landslides and rains in Zhakan China. 1500 people were evacuated. Every year during the rainy season, there is a large amount of flooding in China. It affects the southern regions of China more. Several days ago, Chinese cities, including Shanghai and Beijing, started preparing for the flood. The great summer that arose in the country and the drying up of the lakes were the signs of the impending flood.

In 2021, the flood in China was extremely severe, killing many people. Two dams in Hulunbuir in the Inner Mongolia region burst. The biggest crisis then arose in the city of Zhengzhou, known as the iPhone town because it is home to the world’s largest iPhone manufacturing factory. 12 people died here. Roads, streets and metro rail lines were submerged here. The Shaolin Temple, a world-renowned center of Chinese martial arts located near Zhengzhou, was also damaged by the flood. Zhengzhou is the capital of China’s cultural region of Henan Province. As the flood here increased, the Chinese forces broke the dam at a nearby place called Loyang to divert the water. More than 100,000 people were evacuated from the area.

Since ancient times, floods have occurred in China following summer. But in the last two decades, the sudden increase in the level of industrialization and the trend of converting forest land into agricultural land has increased its momentum. There was a lot of criticism then. International environmental experts have alleged that the intensity of the flood has increased due to the increase in projects including the dam that China has recently completed with a large-scale aggressive style. But the Chinese authorities responded that climate change has led to floods and that this is happening in many countries.

Some have also raised doubts whether artificial rainfall and snow fall are attempts to implement them through scientific means. Chinese efforts to change the climate are already well-known. Cloud seeding was one such attempt to create blue skies and reduce smog ahead of the 2008 Olympics.
